PURPOSE OF STRAIN GAUGE TEST
The strain gauge test shall be carried out to determine the concrete and steel reinforcement deformation and movement along the bored piles, to show continuous data regarding to bored pile working behavior under loading and unloading.
METHOD OF STRAIN GAUGE TEST
Strain gauge test method is used Model 4200 to determine the bored pile deformation by strain gauges which shall be installed with the steel bars before concreting. Under loading and unloading, concrete deformation shall be measured by the strain gauges located at the specified level. These gauges shall transfer its signals to the monitor through the connected cables. Based on the relation between stress and deformation, the load at the located strain gauges could be calculated.
