COGECO performs Geotechnical monitoring and Dilapidation survey of Ben Thanh – Ba Son Metro railway project
Ben Thanh – Ba Son railway project is the first project to apply automatic monitoring system in Vietnam
Ben Thanh – Ba Son Metro railway project is package 1B under the project of urban railway No. 1 Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien (metro No. 1).
As planned, the 1B package has two underground stations including the Opera House station and Ba Son station that will be constructed according to the open excavation plan.
And the tunnel section along the side of the Opera House on Nguyen Sieu Street will be drilled from Ba Son Station to Opera House Station, with construction time of 56 months.
During construction, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board will require contractors to install monitoring systems to monitor the displacement of buildings in the area. When the buildings are displaced with a value exceeding the permitted limit, immediately stop construction to make corrective measures.
COGECO is the unit implementing geotechnical monitoring including manual monitoring and automatic monitoring, dilapidation survey of the neighboring houses of the Ben Thanh – Ba Son railway project. This is the first project in Vietnam applying the automatic monitoring system of COGECO. The work is expected to take place in 3-4 years, starting from 11/2014.
